Hello everybody! I must confess that, because it’s Sunday, I was VERY tempted to skip today’s cleaning challenge. Buuut, I thought about all you lovely readers following along and just knew that I couldn’t shirk my responsibilities :). Besides the fact that if I skipped cleaning today, I would have to do double tomorrow. No thanks!
If you’ve just joined us, you can catch up on the 30-day challenge here.
Today’s task is the same as Day 2 –
Clean bathrooms – toilet, shower/bathtub, floor, walls, mirrors
This time, I started with our 1/2 bathroom downstairs. This room actually doubles up as a laundry room. The shelf above the washer and dryer is where I keep all my laundry supplies and some cleaning supplies that are too big to fit in the kitchen cupboard.
As you can see, it gets quite dusty
So I cleared everything off of it and dusted and cleaned it
And did the same to the washer and dryer
After that was done, I moved on to the actual bathroom side of the room and gave the light a good dusting
Just look at all the dust that has accumulated from there!
Gave this area a good going over
And, of course, the toilet. I had to replace yet another toilet roll (small rant 🙁 ).
Don’t forget the doorknob and light switch
I love this mop. It’s got a removable micro-fiber mop-head that I toss into the washer when I’m done. The last one I had, lasted about 5 years before it developed a tiny hole in it. As you can see, it gets into all the little nooks and crannies.
A quick clean of the toilet brush. Once a week or so, I fill the holder with bleach and stand the brush in it for about half an hour.
Aaand – done!
Ten minutes later, the upstairs bathroom was also clean with fresh towels hung on the rack.
And now – I’m off to a barbecue! Yes, another one 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see you here tomorrow!
