Hello Bloglovers! Hubby is sick today so I’m trying to do ‘quiet’ things, but mainly I’m trying out my new camera. I’m a very beginner photographer, so it’s a bit of a learning curve.
Aaanyway. We are soon to be freshening up our dining area. We originally bought the dining table and chairs from a thrift store a couple of years ago for $35.00. Yes, you read right – $35.00. I didn’t much care for the chairs (we recently bought 4 new ones from Ikea), but I fell in love with the table. We sanded it down and stained it, but made the mistake of not sealing it, so it needs redoing. Hubby is making a bench for it with industrial pipe and wood similar to this one
when he recovers from his Man Flu :).
But, in the meantime, I made a little beachy tablescape using napkins that I painted a year or so ago, and a blue, rope glass jar hubby bought me yesterday.
And finished off by photographing my new cushion that I bought on sale a couple of days ago. I need to insert a pop of colour into my living room and this is a good start together with the chevron throw pillow cover I painted a few years ago. That was the day I found out why I needed to pay attention in geometry class! Anyone who has drawn and/or painted the British Flag will know what I’m talking about.
So pretty – I LOVE it!
