I know I’ve said it before, but organizing never really ends, does it? Just when I think I have it all figured out … I never really do. I was doing a bit of a mini spring clean in my kitchen last weekend and saw a few things I could improve upon. The cupboard under the sink has been a bit of a thorn in my side since we moved here just over a year ago. I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t seem to make it work. So I went out and bought a holder for the tin foil, wax paper, parchment paper etc. and fixed it to the door
and then moved some of the dish cloths and sponges to a shelf above the sink which freed up a container that I now use to put the dust pan in, which keeps the bottom of the cupboard cleaner. And then just rearranged everything again and added some drawer liner to keep everything from slipping all over the place
I did the same with the drawers
All this to avoid the real chore I had to do that day and that was to clean out the fridge. I think this has to be one of the jobs I hate the most, but I finally got down to it – took all the food out and all the shelving and drawers and washed everything down – sparkling, right?
I finished off the day with a kitty mat to keep the cat food contained
All in all, the whole idea is to make less work for myself while keeping the house looking good. 🙂
After all that hard work, I rewarded myself with a lovely glass of wine
